Stipulated on article 43 and 64 of Law on the Organization and Function of the National Bank of Cambodia, promulgating by Royal Kram No NS/RKM/0196/27 of January 26, 1996, “notes […] issued by the Central Bank and not withdrawn from circulation shall be legal tender within Cambodia and notes shall be valid for payment of unlimited amount […].” “Any person who does not accept payment in currency that is legal tender in the Kingdom shall be liable for a fine of 100 times the amount of the payment.”
