National Bank of Cambodia arrange a disucssion forum on Liquidity-Providing Collateralized Operation (LPCO)

On October 13th 2016, National Bank of Cambodia arrange a disucssion forum with all Banks and Microfinance Institutions on Liquidity-Providing Collateralized Operation (LPCO) precided over by H.E CHEA Serey, Director General of Central Banking. The purpose of the LPCO is to i/- establish a benchmark rate for the market so as to serve the conduct of the monetary policy based on the market mechanism ii/- promote NCDs, which then be used as collateral in interbank market transactions iii/- promote the use of Riel iv/- support agricultural sector development and v/- contribute to lower the current high interest rate in KHR.
