On April 06, 2023, H.E. Rath Sovannorak, Assistant Governor and Director General of Banking Supervision of the National Bank of Cambodia, presided over and delivered a opening remark in workshop “The Future of Financial Services”, which organized by KPMG Cambodia. This workshop aims to highlight regional and global banking trends, the current state of the banking sector, regulations, opportunities, and challenges, which the presentation and discussion mainly focused on the key challenges and main expected evolutions in the banking sector towards 2030, why banks should enable Basel III Internal Rating Based (IRB) approach for credit decisioning and capital calculation, enhancement of asset liability management, and defining cost optimization to maximize business to participants around 100 people.
