On 20th-22nd June, 2023, the National Bank of Cambodia as partner of the co-organizers participated in the inaugural “Inclusive Fintech Forum“ in Kigali, Rwanda. The forum provided an opportunity to showcase Bakong and Cambodia’s progress in fintech development to other participating African nations to find possible area of collaboration. The Cambodia’s Bakong and fintech booth welcome the visit of many distinguished guests including Rwanda ambassador to Cambodia. On the sideline, the team lead by Mr. Ouk Sarat, Director of Payment System held a bilateral meeting with the National Bank of Rwanda’s delegate led by Executive Director Mrs. Shelagh Kahonda to discuss the implementation of cooperative arrangements and the possibility of connecting payment systems between the two nations, following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
