H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, accompanied by senior management, attended the Annual General Meeting, Working Group Meeting and the Global Policy Forum of Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) from 12nd-15th September 2023 in Manila, Philippines. This event is co-hosted by AFI and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) with around 700 participants including policy-makers, central banks, supervisory authorities, development partners, and public and private sector organizations to discuss the policy measures and solutions to challenges on promoting financial inclusion, maintaining financial stability and sustainability, particularly on the topic of data collection, financial inclusion strategy formulation, payment system development, customer rights and market conduct, SME finance, green and sustainable finance, and women’s financial inclusion to sustainably and equitably growth as long as the future direction.
Taking this opportunity, H.E. Governor has attended AFI’s board meeting and bilateral meetings with AFI’s executive director and Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) to discuss the collaboration opportunities and future directions for further promoting financial inclusion in Cambodia.
