On Wednesday, 31 July, 2024, the National Bank of Cambodia held a workshop on “Foreign Direct Investment Statistics (FDIS) Quality Enhancement” at the Center for Banking Studies. This workshop was presided by Dr. Khou Vouthy, the Director General of the Directorate General of Policy and International Cooperation and with the participation of technical officials, who are data providers, data compilers and data users from the relevant governmental organizations and other international organizations, of about 50 participants. The purpose of this workshop was to enhance the understanding on concept and compilation methodology of FDIS and current challenges, as well as to have a dialogue on mechanisms to improve the quality of FDIS and to capture more data inputs.
