H.E. Sum Sannisith, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), attended the SEACEN High-Level Seminar on “Financial Stability and Supervision” and 15th Meeting of the Deputy Governors on August 13-14, 2024 in Manila, Philippines.
The Seminar was also attended by representatives of international finance institutions to discuss and exchange insights on key topics regarding the financial stability and supervision that include strengthening capacity of banking and financial institutions to absorb losses during crises, risks and perspectives on cryptocurrencies, sources of fund for transition to green economy, challenges in preparing regulations in response to risks of climate change, monitoring the variation of capital flows and prospects on and risks against financial stability in the region.
Meanwhile, the participants in SEACEN Meeting of the Deputy Governors discussed the outcome of training offered by SEACEN in 2024 and the training plan for upcoming 2025 to strengthen the capacity of their officials, regional cooperation and performance of central banks that belong to SEACEN.
