The conference consisted of presentations and discussions on six topics namely: 1). The Importance of Riel to Cambodia, 2). The Use of Local and Foreign Currency in Business and Its Challenges 3). Promotion of Riel: Fixed or Floating Exchange Rate or Anything Else?, 4). Implementing Deposit Insurance in Cambodia, 5). Promotion of the Greater Use of Local Currency through the Development of Foreign Exchange Market, and 6). The Development of Securities Market as a Driver of the Usage of Riel. In the conference, there were 250 participants, included: representatives from governmental and public institutions, banking and financial institutions, universities, research institutions, economists, and scholars.
