H.E. Chea Chanto, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, led the delegation to participate in the 51st Conference and High-level Seminar of the Governors of the South East Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) and 35th Meeting of the SEACEN Board of Governors (BOG), hosted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), from 25-27 November 2015 in Manila, Philippines. These events were also attended by Mr. Mitsuhiro Furusawa, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Mr. Takehiko Nakao, President of Asian Development Bank (ADB), Nobel laureate Professor Robert C. Merton of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and other leaders of international financial institutions. The conference and seminar have provided an opportunity to SEACEN Governors to discuss and exchange views on current development of the global and regional economy, cross-border cooperation, and main policy issues to further develop the financial system in the region. At the same time, the BOG meeting has organized to enhance the roles of SEACEN centre in strengthening and building capacity and skill on central banking activities of the SEACEN central bank’s staff. These events also contribute to further enhancing and expanding the bilateral collaboration among the members.
