The National Bank of Cambodia is hosting the National Summit on the Development of Microfinance Sector in Cambodia on March 14-15, 2016, which will be presided over by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The summit is the 10th anniversary since the government declared year 2006 as “The Year of Microfinance” in the National Summit on Microfinance on January 11-13, 2006.
The objective of the National Summit is to promote public awareness on the development of microfinance sector in Cambodia and its important role in the development of the economy and in poverty alleviation—one of the government’s national strategies—by attracting more attention from local and international stakeholders.
