On Monday, 6 June 2022, at the Raffles Hotel Le Royal, Her Excellency Dr. Chea Serey, Assistant Governor and Director General of Central Banking, with the high representative of His Excellency Chea Chato, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), presided over the workshop on “The Official Launch of Residential Property Price Index (RPPI)”, which was co-organized by the National Institute of Statistics of Ministry of Planning. This workshop was conducted in both physical and online, and there were around 200 participants from the NBC, other relevant ministries, international financial institutions, and banking and financial institutions. This workshop was presented by experts from the NBC, and its purpose was to launch the official results of Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) widely to the public, especially to economic and monetary policy makers, to monitor macroeconomic imbalances and to assess risks in relevant sectors, noticeably the financial sector.
