The National Bank of Cambodia and KDIC signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation

The National Bank of Cambodia and the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Bilateral Cooperation on September 6, 2023 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The MoU was signed by H.E Kimty Kormoly, Director General of Central Banking, the National Bank of Cambodia and Mr. Chayong Yoo, Executive Vice President of KDIC, to further strengthen cooperation between the two institutions. Under this MoU, the two sides will share experience, training and technical assistance related to deposit protection for banks with the aim to set up deposit protection scheme for banks in Cambodia. It should be noted that the National Bank of Cambodia and KDIC had signed on an MoU in 2017.
