H.E. Sum Sannisith, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, had met with Dr. Kouqing Li, Director of the ASEAN +3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) and the 2023 Annual Consultation Visit team on the morning of September 13, 2023, at the National Bank of Cambodia. Dr. Kouqing Li briefed on the work progress of AMRO and thanked H.E Deputy Governor, especially the National Bank of Cambodia, for its continued support and good cooperation with AMRO.
In addition, the team also presented the preliminary results of Cambodia’s economic assessment which continues to recover strongly with robust growth contributed by growth of domestic economic activities and service sector. The team also recommended several policies to address the risks, vulnerabilities, and challenges that Cambodia has been facing. On that occasion, H.E. Deputy Governor expressed his gratitude to AMRO for supporting the National Bank of Cambodia in chairing the ASEAN+3 Meeting last year and providing an opportunity for National Bank of Cambodia officials to train at AMRO every year.
