The National Bank of Cambodia hosted the 8th ASEAN Central Bank Heads of Internal Audit Network Meeting under the theme “Improving Governance in Rapid Change Environment” which was presided over by H.E. Sum Sannisith, Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia on 26 October 2023 at Sokha Hotel and Resort, Siem Reap. The meeting aimed to improve internal audit quality in a professional manner in order to enhance governance, effectiveness of risk management, and internal control of the ASEAN central banks. Directors of internal audit department and senior auditors of ASEAN central banks, Asian Development Bank (ADB), and Reserve Bank of Australia who attended the meeting also got a chance to exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation. In that occasion, H.E. Sum Sannisith highlighted that improving governance is the important role of the internal auditor in maintaining the effectiveness of governance and enhancing risk management of the organization.
