H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), attended as a speaker in a panel discussion on “Hope on the horizon: driving growth, containing risks and policy making for the future” on October 22, 2024 in New York City, United States. This is the first event of the Global Regulatory Forum 2024 organized by the international media institution Bloomberg.
The panel discussion was also attended by other speakers who are leaders and senior officials of central banks and capital market regulators of other countries, including Robert Holzmann, Governor of the Austrian National Bank; Christian Noyer, Honorary Governor of the Banque de France; and H.E. Mohammed A. El-Kuwaiz, Chairman of the Captial Market Authority (CMA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Key themes of the discussion mainly include global economic progress and challenges, inflation containment and financial stability maintenance. H.E. Dr. Governor shared her insights on the world’s progress of large economies and their favorable positive and negative effects on Cambodian economy.
