H.E.Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, was invited to speak at a roundtable discussion on the theme “Powerful Women and Active Women: Reflecting on the Role of Women in a Changing World” held on September 29, 2025, at the French Institute in Cambodia.

The program brought together many distinguished women leaders, including H.E.Dr. Ing Kantha Phavi, Minister of Women’s Affairs; Ms. Claudie Haignere, French astronaut and scientist; Dr. Prum Sophea, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at CamTech University; and Ms. Heang Omouy, CEO of ADITI, who shared their experiences, insights, and visions to advance women’s leadership.

The discussion underscored the vital role of women in driving social development and economic growth, while emphasizing the importance of fostering an enabling environment that provides women with greater opportunities to take on leadership roles across key sectors.
