H.E.Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, met with the senior management of Hattha Bank, led by Mr. Kenichi Yamato, Shareholder Representative of Hattha Bank, for a courtesy call and discussion on the afternoon of October 17, 2025, at the National Bank of Cambodia, Wat Phnom Building.
During the meeting, Mr. Kenichi Yamato briefed H.E. on the progress of Hattha Bank, a member of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) of Japan, and reaffirmed the shareholders’ commitment to continued long-term investment and support for Cambodia. He also emphasized Hattha Bank’s strong compliance with the regulatory framework of the National Bank of Cambodia, which contributes to enhancing the bank’s resilience and stability.
In response, H.E. Governor expressed appreciation for the shareholders’ confidence and continued investment in Cambodia’s banking sector, as well as their efforts to strengthen the solvency and sustainability of the financial system. H.E. also encouraged the bank to further support the sector’s development by innovating new financial products through digital technology and by actively contributing to the enhancement of the regulatory framework, with the shared goal of promoting sustainable economic growth.
