H.E. Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), received a courtesy visit from the senior management delegation of RHB Banking Group, a Malaysian multinational financial services provider, led by Mr.Nurjesmi bin Mohd Nashir, Managing Director of Wholesale Banking, and Mr. Danny Quah Boon Leng, Managing Director of International Business, on November 17, 2025 at the National Bank of Cambodia.
During the meeting, Mr. Danny Quah Boon Leng provided an update on the operational progress of RHB Bank (Cambodia), the Group’s subsidiary, and praised the significant development of Cambodia’s financial technology infrastructure, particularly the rapid expansion of the Bakong payment system. The representatives of RHB Banking Group also reaffirmed the shareholders’ commitment to further strengthening and expanding their operations in Cambodia through RHB Bank (Cambodia), while continuing to support human resource development within the country’s banking sector.
In response, the Governor expressed her appreciation for the Group’s continued confidence and investment in Cambodia’s financial sector, and encouraged further engagement in supporting the development of agriculture, agro-industry, and various processing industries. She also shared perspectives on Cambodia’s economic outlook, the stability of the banking system, and the importance of enhancing financial transparency.
