On December 19, 2014, at the National Bank of Cambodia, Dr. Yoichi Nemoto, Director of the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), and the AMRO staff have paid a courtesy call on H.E. Chea Chanto, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC). This AMRO Staff Consultation Visit has been conducted annually so as to collect information, data, and relevant views from both public and private sectors, for the preparation of analytical and surveillance report on the economic and financial conditions of the member countries. As for Cambodia, this is already the fourth AMRO Staff Consultation Visit.
During the discussion, H.E. Governor has informed the mission team about the progress and performance of Cambodia’s economy and banking sector in 2014. In this regard, the mission team congratulated Cambodia on achieving such a substantial progress and had a positive outlook on economic and banking development in the country.
